What is a Cryptid?
Cryptids are creatures from folklore that haven’t been proven to exist (but they do!). They are often described as animals with unusual or mixed-up features—like a jackalope, which is a rabbit with antelope horns.
A cryptid is a creature whose existence is claimed but never proven by mainstream science. Their existence is heavily tied to local legends, and myths, especially in the Appalachian Mountains. The key thing is: cryptids don’t have to be scary. They can be whimsical, charming, or downright silly. Many enjoyable stories have been told about these fun imaginative creatures!
What is Vegan Taxidermy?
Vegan taxidermy is a modern, ethical, and artistic reinterpretation of traditional taxidermy. It creates lifelike or stylized creatures using plant‑based, synthetic, or recycled materials. It keeps the visual language of taxidermy—mounted forms and posed animals—but removes the harm.
